Holy Communion
Nourishment & Strength
In the Eucharist, we become more closely united to God and the Church (our brothers and sisters in Christ).
Christians (Catholics) gather every Sunday to be renewed and strengthened to be the living 'body of Christ' in the world.

Before someone receives holy communion, they must:
-
understand what the consecrated bread and wine is,
-
believe it, and
-
be in a state of grace.

The consecrated bread and wine is: the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ.
At the Sunday gathering, where we commemorate the one, eternal sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the atonement of sins, we give thanks to God for his graciousness for us. God gives his very life to us in the precious body and blood of Holy Communion.
